Being creative has always been a part of Amy's life. She was pretty much born with a pencil in her hand. She was always sketching and drawing as a child. By the 7th grade she knew that she wanted to be an interior designer and structured her academics toward that goal.
Throughout high school she took mechanical drawing and art classes. She attended Buffalo State College for interior design and was hired by her professor during and after graduation as an assistant for his own personal interior design business.
After working in the Buffalo area for 2 years she moved back to Rochester and started working at her first kitchen and bath showroom. That was in 1991, and the rest as they say "is history".
"20 years in this business has taught me many things - what works, what doesn't….how to communicate ideas and how to listen, which is the key to being a good designer."
Amy was born and raised in Rochester. She currently lives in Irondequoit with her husband, two daughters, and a miniature dachshund named Mouse. Richard hired her because of her reputation for being friendly, dedicated, assertive, and highly organized. At night, she attends The College at Brockport as a graduate student working toward a Master’s degree in Childhood Literacy. In her limited spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and camping. She says, “I love working at Bryce and Doyle. It’s like working with family.”
